The Department’s Student Union has always been an important behind-the-scenes booster for hosting events, and also assumes the responsibility for facilitating cohesion among department members. Events held by the Foreign Languages & Literatures Student Union include incoming student welcoming parties, ice-breakers, and well-wishing activities. All of these help make the department one big family, with a unique feeling of warmth. Foreign Languages & Literatures Week helps the University’s faculty and students to have a better understanding of the department, and plays an important role in creating cohesion among Foreign Languages & Literatures members. And the Student Union helps organize charity activities to help children in remote areas of Hsinchu, the Little Mei-Chu Games with National Tsing Hua University, and more.
